Cardiology and Vascular Associates (CAVA) is considered as one of the premier cardiology practices in Michigan. Established in 2000, our 11 board certified cardiologists and 8 mid-level providers, provide services at 5 office locations and multiple area hospitals. Job Responsibilities:

• Obtaining authorizations for testing and or procedures performed at an out-patient facility (SJMO, Huron Valley, Beaumont, and other facilities).
• Work closely with the scheduling department to obtain prior authorization for upcoming procedures.
• Verify insurance information for referrals and authorizations.
• Updating the insurance for existing patients when insurance is termed.
• Obtaining referral / prior authorization for procedures for EP and Interventional Cardiology along with CT/CTA/MRI testing.
• Use websites for pre-authorization uploading chart notes, testing, and medications.
• Receiving and reviewing patient’s chart and documents for verification that the information supports the service.
• Sending staff request to finalize office note or up load EKG.
• Authorization for pretesting and procedures booked by SJMO clinical staff
• Fax or email hospital staff with authorization for testing or procedures.
• Setting up peer to peer review when case is denied. Send emails to PA/Physician and office contact to make sure the peer to peer is responded to in a timely manner
• Answer relevant emails and phone calls
• Communicate with appropriate staff regarding authorizations
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
